Best Practice on NFC Mobile Payment in Hong Kong (abbreviated version)

The Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB) released on 25 November 2013 a set of common standards and recommended best practices (Best Practice) developed by its dedicated Taskforce, to facilitate and promote the development of payment solutions by banks and payment service providers in Hong Kong using near field communication (NFC) technology.
The Best Practice ensures NFC mobile payment solution offered in Hong Kong is convenient, interoperable, safe and secure. Specifically, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) will take into account the security requirements in the Best Practice when assessing the NFC mobile payment services by banks.
